Anyway, still a hoot to read, even if some parts were dragging and other parts were rushed. No other loveable characters at all. While the reviews here say that it is less entertaining than the first one, I could honestly say I’m not disappointed with this one.

It’s her dream job; she’s got a beautiful place to stay in the English countryside, full access to the celebrity, and three months to complete the best ghostwritten autobiography anyone has ever seen.

This book focused more on the prince and Josie’s diary entries. Pages and pages of ‘radio silence’ and then a whirl wind of summing up what happened during that time, instead of writing it in real time! This one, however, is mired in silliness the entire time, from the annoying seat mate to the completely expected ending. Book 3 The Wakefield Romance Series. I thought it was strange how she went along with the prince even though she knows it bothered Jake, she just wasn’t the girl from the first book anymore.

The boyfriend, Jake, from the first novel makes a few phone calls to her – not very convincing since he’s supposed to be keen on her. No, cancel Yes, report it Thanks! Sorry, I’m not a stuffy type, I just know the facts. I’m pretty sure she can take maternity leave, and then either choose to stay home with the baby, or go back to work and leave her baby in childcare.

Gamble On Engagement

Lawful Wife Eternal Bachelors Club 3. Firstly, as the author would have known, three months is not enough to write and deliver an “autobiography” in good enough shape to send to a publisher and that part should have been believable. Now THAT would be engage, ent laugh, right?

I read this because I was hoping to see what would happen next in the love story between Josie and Jake and learn more about how she dealt with her domineering mother since the first book. Aug 17, Andrea Bennett rated it did not like it. Want to Read saving…. I loved the ending and all I can hope is that book 3 is better.

It’s a pity because her first book was such fun, Rachek realistic and made this book even more irritating to me. I mean, he could famble, but he would be like, I don’t know, worth more than Ryan Gosling, which simply isn’t possible because Ryan Gosling is the shit. Will definitely be reading the final installment for, hopefully, more detail on Jake and Josie getting married.

Josie shone in the first book only in her interactions with Matt and Jake, and they aren’t here enough to make it enjoyable to spend time with her.

The second book is written by an American largely about England and it is so full of inaccuracies and ridiculous assumptions as to really ruin the book except for those Americans who know little about Great Britain. I’m not sure, yet, if I’ll continue on with the series. In true McMaster the Disaster fashion, Josie tumbles head-first into scandal, apparently more than just an average ghostwriter in the eyes of this new celebrity.

Open Preview See a Problem? I mean, that obviously seems like a good decision. View all 3 comments. I think I actually liked it better than the first because it had more of a storyline and substance.

I was mostly annoyed how she took a HUGE deal of a job oversees and didn’t handle one bit of it professionally. So lets examine it: Jul 04, Sandy rated it it was ok. I had high hopes for book I read the previous book in the series a while ago, which I liked a lot more.

Their sons are Viscounts etc and do not gain titles of Earl or Lord until their fathers die. I still feel like it only scratches the surface on things that could of been a lot more in depth. Apr 09, Jaime rated it really liked it Shelves: This book was pretty boring to me, and even more unbelievable.

Josie finally finds out her secret writing assignment, which she handles with her typical style, a full comedy of errors. This book picks up right before Josie makes her big move to England! Regretfully I think Ms Astor isn’t good with foreign country research. So, I didn’t have any emotional attachment to the dude. Raxhel was down right I hate to say it but I was really disappointed emgagement this book.

The review must be at least 50 characters long. I didn’t like it at all. Romance, is barely an entity in this whole thing Heaven forbid a career woman wants to have a baby. I engagenent like a lot of things were introduced but then weren’t followed up on and then were suddenly resolved.
